whale fall

Whale Fall is an experimental animated short about the strange creatures that grow and survive on a whale carcass deep in the ocean. The name comes from the "Whale Fall" phenomenon, where the death of a whale supports the growth of an ecosystem. The coastal setting of Falmouth provided significant motivation for our project, in addition to the works of Studio Ghibli and films that prioritise visual storytelling over narrative, such as Fantasia.
